Honolulu Hotel Appoints First-Ever Director of Surfing
Wouldn't it be great if every hotel had a Director of Surfin!
Now guests at the Waikiki Parc Hotel can get a sneak peak inside the surfing mystique with the appointment of the property's first-ever Director of Surfing, Hawaiian Fire's owner Garrett Valles. Valles will serve as the perfect ambassador for hotel guests looking for a truly authentic surf experience as they are introduced to the sport's rich culture and history.
This unique and exciting appointment will give Waikiki Parc guests access to the best and most secluded surfing spots on Oahu as well as teach them how to master this ancient sport of Hawaiian Kings. Waikiki Parc guests will receive transportation to and from the remote and semi-private Kalaeloa Beach, surf amenities (soft surfboard, a leash, reef shoes), a shade tent with chairs, and a two-hour lesson. Hawaiian Fire maintains a three-to-one student teacher ratio or better, making certain students receive personal attention in the water. One-on-one lessons are also available. Prices start at $119.00 for a three-hour experience.
