Romantic Canoe Trip - Oops
I thought this story about a romantic canoe trip was hysterical. You have to read the whole thing.
You see, about nine years ago, when my husband and I were going to school at Sam Houston State University, a friend of ours convinced us that we should go on the Kinesiology departments midnight full moon canoe. At least once, a month since time and SHSU began, the Kinesiology department has been going out on to the lake in Sam Houston State Park to canoe, with however many students signed up for the misguided adventure. Well, now we all know that if anything weird or bad is going to happen, if I am present and accounted for, then it will happen...

I'm glad you found the story funny :). Although it took 9yrs for me to see the humor of it, the joke ever since has been, "There are no alligators in the lake!" We say it in reference to anything that scares the living daylights out of us.
