Attack Of The Swimsuit Clones
Has the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit EditionAs an adolescent, I was a huge fan of the Swimsuit Edition, but as I get older, I find myself growing less and less impressed. The girls - pretty, to be sure - look run-of-the-mill, like your standard San Diego beach girls, with better hair and makeup. Sometimes.

Only 5 Hours
Sunburns after 5 hours!
Today was mainly spent on playing 4 hours of volleyballs on the beach and going to the faboulous loft (no deal though; what a dissappointment). The beach girls today shouted in envy when I told them I will only get sunburned after 5 hours of continuous exposure to the sun. Well, that's the genetic advantage for being born in a tropical island.

Getting Comfortable
Well, beach girls are still ok.
Like any woman, I've had a conflicted relationship with my body. But, I've seen what's out there and, frankly, I'll take not quite filling out a sweater any day over most of the options out there - from leaky silicon implants to big breasts that look more like they belong on the business side of a cow than in a v-neck sweater. Comparisons like that, though, are as much a part of the problem as anything else. At some point, we've got to stop looking to the television and the promenading beach girls to get our sense of what's ok. I don't know how we get there, but high risk breast implants certainly aren't the right direction. Why can't everyone be 30? It's the trauma of youth that makes us all this crazy...
